Iowa Result a Refutation of Bill Press

Despite the rhetoric from individuals such as radio talk show host Bill Press in his latest book endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders, entitled:

"Buyer's Remorse: How Obama let Progressives Down."

Iowans beg to differ.

First of all, it was interesting to learn over the past few days that Barack Obama’s approval rating among Iowa Democrats is a whopping 90%!

It was also quite revealing to see that last night’s Iowa caucus attendees, by a margin of 55%, agreed with Secretary Clinton concerning building on the gains of President Barack Obama, and disagreed with Press that Progressives have “buyer’s remorse”.

Should the next president:

Generally continue Barack Obama's policies?

Voters overall in Iowa agreed that the next president should build on President Obama’s policies by 55%

Clinton voters agreed by 68%

Sanders voters agreed by 26%

O'Malley voters agreed by 4%

Uncommitted voters agreed by 2%

Of course, Bill Press’ argument was cheaply bogus from the get-go considering this:

Obama is the first president to achieve the 51 percent mark in two elections since Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower, who did it in 1952 and 1956, and the first Democrat to do so since Franklin D. Roosevelt, who won four consecutive White House races.

Certainly Looks like “buyer’s Remorse” to me…..
